We’ve just recently had our 20-week scan, and it’s a girl! Everything is going fabulously. Unlike last time, this time Helen didn’t drink as much beforehand as they told her to.
20-week Ultrasound.
I know our picture is basically indistinguishable from virtually every other ultrasound I’ve ever seen – but nevertheless I somehow can’t help feeling that in some inexpressible way this one is especially beautiful.
Helen had to fill out some forms, and they asked for “Mother’s GP.” I thought “how on Earth are we supposed to know which doctor Helen’s mother goes to?” Eventually I got the idea, but the paradigm shift was yet one more of those little shocks.
